How to Improve Concentration
Saturday, June 20, 2009 10:00An easy guide on how to improve concentration naturally.
Concentration often comes and goes – sometimes we are super focused and can concentrate for long periods, but sometimes our concentration is erratic. We may get distracted easily, bored, or find something else to do than the thing we are working on.
You may find it easier to concentrate on activities you enjoy – your sports, computer games, and other personal hobbies. It may be things like writing reports, doing homework, or writing something to a deadline which you struggle to concentrate with. Ironically this is the wrong way round – the very things you need to know how to improve concentration for are the most important and critical.
If only you could swap this around, or indeed if you could take control over your concentration at any and all times you would be much more productive, you would get much more done, and you would go further in all areas of your life – especially with your education or working career.
This is more than possible – your level of concentration is dependant upon processes within your mind, and there are things you can do to take control of your mind and make sure that you can always concentrate when you need to.
One way to do this is using NLP principles. NLP is a mind programming technique which idenve tifies limiting thought processes within your mind. By identifying these you can begin to replace them with positive thoughts which will improve your concentration.
Some people are naturally focused and can concentrate easily, but this isn’t something that you are either born with or without. Luckily their brains work efficiently and they can naturally concentrate. However, with NLP you can take control of your brain and influence it to work just like theirs – thus improving your concentration too.
There are many different techniques you can use from NLP to make this change. One way is with the use of subliminal messages. These messages enter your mind without your knowledge, sending positive statements into your mind to change your brain processing and the way you think. In this way, while listening you can become instantly focused, but not only that – in the long term, with increased listening you can increase your concentration at all times.
